A variety of industries depend on glass and ceramic microspheres to add special characteristics to their products. 3M™ Glass Bubbles are hollow glass microspheres that provide weight reduction and resin extension. They are used in aerospace, automotive, construction, explosive, marine and sporting goods. 3M™ Ceramic Microspheres are very fine particles. These high-strength, thick-walled ceramic microspheres provide high-filler loadings, improved flow and abrasion resistance. They are used in the coating, abrasive and film industries. 3M™ Hollow Ceramic Microspheres are lower density ceramic microspheres offering weight reduction benefits to the molded plastic and sealant industries.
